A pink slip inspection, also known as an eSafety Check, is a safety inspection performed on light motor vehicles five years and older. It’s a legal requirement in New South Wales that vehicles must be declared safe to drive before their registration may be renewed.

From the day of inspection, you have six months within which you need to renew your vehicle’s registration.
You will need to buy the green slip that all motor vehicles registered in NSW legally require so compensation can be provided to affected parties injured or killed in a motor vehicle accident. Ensure that the CTP insurance requirements are met so you can register your vehicle online or in person.
Take note that the pink slips are only valid for six months, so if you fail to do the renewal during that time, you will need to have your vehicle inspected again and receive a new pink slip.

If you are able to have the repairs done within 14 days of receiving the Repairs Needed report, DSY Auto will reassess your vehicle without charging safety check fees for a second time.
After the repairs are complete and your vehicle is up to standard and passes the inspection, you will receive a pink slip and you have six months to go and renew your registration.
